Mandala Soap is developed by Valerie Rickel, the founder and creator of SoulfulLiving.com, a web magazine and online community devoted to personal growth and spirituality, and its complementary online store,
Mandala, which
sells a soulful collection of mandala-inspired conscious
living gifts and tools.
Valerie says, “It’s long been my dream to bring together my favorite things… art, soap, mandalas, spirituality and meditation, and create something beautiful, functional and meaningful that can be enjoyed in one’s home and made part of one’s
personal daily ritual."
"It brings me great pleasure to know that these lovely mandala images are bringing beauty, inspiration, and meaning to people's days,
illuminating the space near their sinks,
tubs and showers, and inspiring moments of peaceful centeredness."
In reflecting on its creation, she says, "I realized recently how I am carrying on a family tradition, of sorts, in developing home decorating products that are round in nature,
feature art and are inspirational. In the mid 1970's, my father produced a hanging paper mobile tower that featured round circles with artistic graphics and inspirational quotes that sold in New Age and religious book stores throughout Southern California, which at the time, were very few in number. (My
father was a little ahead of his time!) I feel like I am continuing that legacy of bringing inspiration and beauty to people's daily life, with Mandala Soaps."
Valerie Rickel's passion for the beauty and healing nature of mandalas was inspired by the mandala images left behind by her artist father at the time of his death in 1998 and the rich insights found in his journal entries about his mandalas and the peace, healing and wholeness he
discovered within them. Click here to read this story.
Valerie says, "My father's artwork and journals are my precious and treasured reminders of his love,
wisdom and Eternal Spirit. I dedicate Mandala Soap in my father's
memory, with eternal gratitude for his creative and soulful inspiration. I also dedicate Mandala Soap in memory of my mother. Her passing in 2001 fueled
much of the grief, pain, love and creativity that poured into the creation of this project. May her joy, creativity, kindness, and loving spirit live on in my
heart and in Mandala Soap." Click here to learn more about Valerie
