Mandala MeditationA Mandala Meditation for Peacefulness and Centering...

Just as gentle soap and warm water helps to cleanse and nourish the skin, taking a special moment with a mandala can clear your mind and inspire the soul.

1. Breathe: Close your eyes for a few moments as you breathe a few comfortably full breaths. With each breath in, let yourself receive and take in from the universe all that you need. Each time you exhale, release all you do not need. Receive, and release. Receive, and release. Continue this rhythm as long as you’d like, then open your eyes and move to the next step.

2. Receive: As you continue breathing gently, let your eyes rest upon the mandala with a soft gaze. Notice the parts of the mandala that are most beautiful to you, or enjoy its beauty as a whole. When you feel a connection to it, invite it inside you. As you breathe in, let the mandala into you, and let it rest gently within your heart.

3. Rest: As you continue to softly breathe and gaze at the mandala, allow its beauty to expand and touch every part of your being. See the mandala expanding and feel the joy of its warm touch. If any thoughts, discomforts, or painful feelings come up, offer them love and a soft place to rest in the center of the mandala. Let them dissolve like clouds resting in the warmth of the sun. Whatever comes up, just let it rest and dissolve in the mandala of your heart. Take as much time as you’d like to feel the simple joy of letting everything come to rest in this warm and beautiful mandala.

4. Release: When you’re ready, take in one more breath, and as you exhale allow the mandala and any remaining tensions to dissolve into silence. Just let it all go. Notice how your body and mind feel more at ease, relaxed, and present. Offer a moment of gratitude and allow yourself a quiet moment of transition before your next activity.

A Quick and Simple "Mandala Soap Meditation"...

With this simple exercise you can release tension and reconnect with beauty each time you use your mandala soap! If you do this each time you wash up, you will be amazed how your day-to-day experience effortlessly becomes more open and joyful.

This brief ritual is based on the meditation above, and can be completed in just one full breath. It helps if you have done the above meditation at least once.

1. Receive: As you breathe in, look at the mandala and invite it into your heart.

2. Rest: As you hold the breath for just a moment, invite all tensions and excess mental energy to rest in the beauty of your heart-mandala.

3. Release: As you exhale, release the mandala and everything in it into silence.

4. Wash up: Now, as you soap and cleanse your skin, let yourself feel the water and softness of the soap bubbles gently loosen and clear away any remaining mental or emotional tensions from your body.
